Kuala Lumpur is packed with places to get great food, and below is a good representation of the spectrum of flavors and prices available. Cuisines represented include Chinese, Indian and Malay, but there are also Peranakan Nyonya restaurants, which is a unique fusion of Chinese and Malay cooking dating back to early Chinese traders who settled in Malacca and Penang and who assimilated many elements of Malay culture.
